Becoming a Believer
Believing God's plan is far better than any plan I could ever dream up for myself and when His will becomes my will, there is no better life
Believing God is a good God and His desire is only for my welfare and not for my harm. Do not be afraid little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom
Believing that everything that comes into my life each day, every person, every situation, every moment comes through God's hand with a purpose for my instruction, growth, well-being, and ultimately to draw me closer to Him
Believing that apart from Him I can do nothing. Everything I do in the power of the Holy Spirit will last for eternity. Everything I do in my own strength in the power of the flesh will be burned up and cast away as worthless rubbish
Believing that when I allow sin to come in and entangle me, I become undone and it does not suit me. Like inviting a solvent into my being that undoes the divine glue of Jesus, and I become miserable
Believing that even when I do make the wrong choice and then receive forgiveness, God will use it for my good, however painful, He never intends my harm, only my good. He causes ALL things to work together for my good
Believing that after asking for forgiveness, falling into condemnation is worse than falling into sin. When I fall, I need to fall forward
Believing that God wove me in my mother's womb and created me exactly the way He wanted me to be. He looks at me every day and says “you are so wonderful, the work of my creation. I rejoice over you my child and I love who I have made you to be, you are the apple of my eye”
Believing that the lives of the people I love and the world around me is not falling apart as it often appears. God is sovereign and all situations are safe in my Father's hand. He is interested and involved in every minute detail of the universe. I can rest in the all powerful, all knowing, all present person of my heavenly Father
Believing that when I submit to the Holy Spirit's direction within me, there is a lift in my spirit and my soul is at peace
Believing that the present moment is the most important moment. Enjoy it, don't rush it, this may be my last day here on earth
Believing that letting go of my way is better than holding on, and holding on to Jesus is better than letting go of Him
